Recently released financial results show that Sheffield-based Sanderson Electronics plc has failed to meet the ambitious 15% annual growth target it set itself last year. Interim figures for the six months to March 31 show net profits up 21.6% at £2.6m, on revenue up 8% at £32.6m.
The reduced growth has been attributed to a slow-down in acquisitions since last year, although the company is rumoured to be expecting a major buy before the year is out, with the board hinting at better second-half results. Industry analysts have predicted a year-end profit in the order of £7m.
