- The Scottish Office is implementing a new Unidata/SB+ human resources application
developed by Selima Software.
- Pathfinders Software, the "Internet from TCL" specialist
developer, has extended the availability of its Internet Mail Gateway to include
ADD, mvBASE and Ultimate+ platforms.
- Unidata Inc has announced the acquisition of French object database
company O2 Technology SA, continuing the company's steady acceleration away
from its traditional MultiValue roots. The Falcon codename will be dropped
and the features incorporated into a new line of Unidata O2 products. The
Unidata RDBMS will continue to be developed but eventually it will merge with
the O2 object database.
- Abbey National Financial & Investment Services has developed its IMAGINE
work distribution system using Vmark's ESL technology. The deal is
worth about £8m. Norwich Union is also using ESL to develop its new
systems. Vmark's focus appears to be shifting away from the MultiValue world
too
