With effect from 30 August, versions of WinLink and ViaDuct for Windows less than 3.5x and ViaDuct for DOS versions below 1.4x will no longer be supported.
The announcement from Via Systems states that this policy has been established due to extreme changes to the Windows/DOS environments and the Year 2000 problem. Revisions below 3.5x and 1.4x were developed under the earlier releases of the Window and DOS environments and cannot be guaranteed to run on newer platforms. In order to provide timelier responses to support requests it is not possible to provide support to earlier versions of the software. ViaDuct 3.5x, WinLink 3.5x and ViaDuct for DOS 1.4x have been stable products on the market for over 1 year.
