Pentalver Transport Limited have enlisted UK computer solutions specialists Capitol Business Services Limited to install new Internet-based EDI technology at their Southampton container facility.
Pentalver already use Capitol’s market-leading UNITRACK-D Container Control system. The depot will now be able to transfer all in/out gate container movements direct to their customers in CODECO message format via Internet e-mail.
Commenting on the new developments, Pentalver Depot Manager John Williams said: “These days customers are having much more involvement and placing greater demands on container facilities. We believe that our use of the Internet will put us one step ahead of our competitors.”
