DUCO International Limited, specialist manufacturers of offset printing blankets, has invested in PICS, the ERP solution from IT services company, Sanderson. Dublin-based Nypro specialising in supplying moulded plastic products to the electronic, medical and automotive sectors, is also a new investor in PICS. The combined value of the contracts is over £1/2 million. Financial Director of Nypro, Donal Leavy explains why Sanderson was awarded the contract: "We did a great deal of research and looked at over 10 suppliers. We chose Sanderson’s ERP solution primarily because it appeared to be adaptable to the injection moulding industry without intensive manufacture. The Windows NT operating environment was also a pre-requisite." Tom Hodgeson, DUCO’s IT Manager, said: "We decided to invest in extending our levels of customer service, through the integration of our entire manufacturing, administration and sales processes. The PICS system is a close match to our present business operation, and will enhance flexibility between sales and production. This gives us the ability to maintain our process of continuous development to meet our customer's demands. The investment in the Sanderson system is a very natural step in our company’s ongoing progress."
