Summer 1999
|
Leading its team of around 80 systems analysts and developers at MAFF (Ministry
of Agriculture Fisheries and Food), Sherwoods Government Outsourcing Business
has created two new roles.
Jeff Wykes has been promoted to MAFF business leader with responsibility for
client relationship development, while Ken Newman will be service delivery manager.
These promotions recognise the growing size and importance of the Sherwood Outsourcing team working on the Ministrys systems at two sites in London and Guildford. Much of this work has taken place in the political spotlight, including the Cattle Passport and Cattle Tracing system designed to provide traceability and thus improve the credibility of the beef industry following the BSE crisis.
Sherwood Outsourcing has worked with MAFF for almost eight years under a framework
agreement between MAFF and two nominated service providers - called the Delta
Partnership. Sherwood Outsourcing provides teams of systems analysts and developers,
who manage current applications and design and develop new systems.
