General Automation has announced that it has reached agreement to provide Nebraska Furniture Mart, North America’s largest home furnishings retailer, with a multi-year e-Business solution set.
Nebraska Furniture Mart will use GA’s ePath* migration tools to move its MultiValue database management system to the Internet and enable the company to engage in world-class e-Commerce. The company will also use a Groupe Bull Escala T430 Series server and mv.ENTERPRISE software, a highly powerful and reliable MultiValue database, to warehouse its multi-million dollar business data and interpret intelligence from this information. Under the terms of the agreement, GA will provide consultation, software, equipment, education and on-going services for the platform.
“GA’s new line of ePath migration tools will help us build a strong foundation for e-Business, while enabling us to leverage our existing investment in the MultiValue technology that has served us so well for the past 10 years,” said Vic Stannish, Nebraska Furniture Mart Director of Corporate Systems. “The enterprise solution we purchased is based on GA’s robust MultiValue database technology that is viewed as the easiest to use, quickest to implement, and best solution for companies like Nebraska Furniture Mart, which require industrial strength, no-nonsense technology applications.”
GA’s highly rated service and support was another reason Stannish chose the solution. “We’re comfortable doing business with GA.
