The millennium thing is quite a laugh, don't you think? Everyone rushing around with their 'The End is Nigh' sandwich boards. Well, consultants anyway - you know the sort, a comprehensive knowledge of sexual positions and no partner. First there is the debate about when the millennium is and whether it is named correctly, then its 'is it a leap year' etc. Will the airlines come to a grinding halt, will all of the digital watches be silenced at midnight and will the Internet become a vacuum as the last remaining packets shuffle off into oblivion? Hard to say really; all I know is that there are a lot of nervous people out there and like it or not it is the mother of all MILE-STONES. I for one am building an Anderson shelter, stocking it up with tinned stuff, and we are just going to tough it out - if I can get it all finished in time.
